Baked Tomatoes with Cheese
Think of these juicy, melty wonders for your next dinner party. They make a wonderful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml or 11 ml Special K* Original cereal
  • 4 or - large tomatoes
  • 5 ml or 11 ml salt
  • pinch or - pepper
  • 125 ml or 1/21/2 ml grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 ml or 1/41/4 ml paprika
  • 30 ml or 2 tbsp margarine or butter,

Directions

1. Wash tomatoes, remove stems and cut in half crosswise. Place cut side up in baking pan. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cheese.

2. Combine cereal, paprika and margarine; sprinkle over cheese.

3. Bake in moderate oven 175°C (350°F) about 25 minutes.

Try these tomatoes with pepper-jack, or even havarti, in place of the cheddar.
