Banana Cream Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 L or 44 L Kellogg's Corn Flakes* cereal
  • 250 ml or 11 ml Kellogg's Corn Flake Crumbs*
  • 30 ml or 22 ml granulated sugar
  • 30 ml or 22 ml margarine,
  • 30 ml or 22 ml corn syrup
  • 3 or - medium bananas
  • 1 pkg or 250250 pkg (8 oz) light cream cheese,
  • 1 or - can (300 L) sweetened condensed milk
  • 75 ml or 1/31/3 ml lemon juice
  • 5 ml or 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

1. In medium-size mixing bowl, combine crushed cereal or crumbs, sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Press mixture evenly and firmly into bottom and up sides of 23 cm (9") pie plate.

2. Bake at 180°C (350°F) about 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.

3. Slice 2 bananas over bottom of pie shell.

4. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in condensed milk. When mixture is smooth, stir in lemon juice and vanilla. Pour over sliced bananas and chill until firm, about 6 hours or overnight.

5. Just before serving, slice remaining banana and use to garnish pie.
