Crumble Topping
With walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and the sweet taste of brown sugar, this topping will make itself at home on yogurt, oatmeal and even on top of muffins.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml or 1 cup All-Bran Buds* cereal
  • 125 ml or 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 50 ml or 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 30 ml or 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 ml or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 ml or 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 50 ml or 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions

1. In shallow baking pan, stir together cereal, walnuts, brown sugar, flour and spices. Add butter and mix well.

2. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 8 minutes, until lightly toasted, stirring twice. Let cool in pan and stir gently to crumble. Store in airtight container. Serve over yogurt, fruit, pudding or ice cream.
