Calico Seafood Bake

Ingredients

  • 750 ml or 33 ml Kellogg's Corn Flakes* cereal
  • 15 ml or 11 ml margarine,
  • 625 ml or 2 1/22 1/2 ml Rotini pasta (250 g/ 1/2 lb)
  • 75 ml or 1/31/3 ml all-purpose flour
  • 5 ml or 11 ml blended herb and spice seasoning
  • 2 ml or 1/21/2 ml salt
  • 1 ml or 1/41/4 ml white pepper
  • 2 or - cans (385 ml each) evaporated skim milk
  • 250 ml or 11 ml grated parmesan cheese
  • 250 ml or 11 ml cooked salad shrimp,
  • 250 g or 1/21/2 g Imitation crab,
  • 250 ml or 11 ml frozen peas
  • 175 ml or 3/43/4 ml shredded carrot
  • 50 ml or 1/41/4 ml sliced green onion
  • - vegetable cooking spray

Directions

1. In small bowl, combine crushed cereal and margarine. Set aside for topping.

2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain well and set aside.

3. In large saucepan, combine flour, blended seasoning, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture bubbles and thickens. Add Parmesan and continue cooking and stirring 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and stir in pasta, shrimp, crab, peas, carrot and green onion. Spread in 3 L (12 x 8") baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with cereal topping.

4. Bake at 180°C (350°F) 35 - 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly around edges. Serve hot.
