1. Combine crushed cereal and melted butter; set aside.
2. In saucepan over medium heat, melt 50 ml (1/4 cup) butter; blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese.
3. Pour thin layer of sauce over bottom of greased 2 L (8-cup) casserole. Lay fillets in sauce. Cut broccoli spears into bite-sized pieces and mix with remaining sauce; pour over fish.
4. Top with cereal mixture and bake at 180°C (350°F) about 30 minutes or until fish and broccoli are tender.
