1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
2. In large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts, dates and chopped cherries.
3. Shape level 15 ml (1 tbsp) measures of dough into balls. Roll in crushed cereal. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Top each cookie with a cherry quarter.
4. Bake at 180°C (350°F) about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
