1. In large saucepan over low heat, melt margarine. Add marshmallows; stir until melted and well blended. Remove from heat. (OR, in large bowl, microwave butter at HIGH 30-60 seconds to melt. Stir in marshmallows. Microwave at HIGH 1 - 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth when stirred, stirring after 1 minute).
2. Gradually mix in cereal and coconut, stirring until thoroughly coated.
3. Using lightly-buttered spatula, press firmly and evenly into buttered 2 L (9") square pan. Score into 4 cm (1 1/2") bars. Using buttered finger, make deep depression in centre of each bar. Press drained cherry into each depression. Drizzle surface with melted chocolate. Chill until set. Cut into bars.
