- Beat cheese with cream until soft and of spreading consistency.

- Place pears, cut side down on piece of waxed paper or on large plate. Spread each half of pear with cream cheese to cover.

- Sprinkle generously with cereal. Place on crisp lettuce leaves on a salad plate.

- Serve with mayonnaise if desired.
