Easy Pie Crust
Put away the rolling pin, this crust can simply be pressed into a pan using the back of a spoon.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml or 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 175 ml or 3/4 cup All-Bran Buds* cereal
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 ml or 1/4 tsp salt
  • 125 ml or 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
  • 15 to 30 ml or 1 to 2 tbsp 2% milk

Directions

1. In medium mixing bowl, mix together flour, cereal, sugar and salt. Using pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk, stirring until well moistened.

2. With back of spoon, press mixture firmly and evenly into bottom and sides of 23 cm (9-inch) pie plate to form crust.

3. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Let cool completely. Use for any fillings that will be refrigerated or frozen.
