1. For barbeque sauce, measure ketchup, corn syrup, mustard, vinegar and liquid pepper sauce into small mixing bowl; stir to combine. Set aside.
2. In large mixing bowl, beat egg until foamy. Add cereal, onion, salt, pepper and 125 ml (1/2 cup) of the barbecue sauce; beat well. Add ground beef; mix only until combined. Shape meat mixture into loaf in well-greased or foil-lined shallow baking pan. Score top by making diagonal grooves with handle of wooden spoon or knife; fill grooves and brush top of meat loaf with remaining barbeque sauce.
3. Bake in moderate oven 175°C (350°F) about 1 hour. Cool slightly; slice to serve.
