Nutty Bars

Ingredients

  • 300 ml or 1 1/41 1/4 ml corn syrup
  • 250 ml or 11 ml firmly packed brown sugar
  • 250 ml or 11 ml granulated sugar
  • 250 ml or 11 ml peanut butter
  • 1.5 L or 66 L Kellogg's Corn Flakes* cereal
  • 250 ml or 11 ml peanuts
  • 125 ml or 1/21/2 ml sunflower seeds
  • 125 ml or 1/21/2 ml semi-sweet chocolate chips melted
  • vegetable cooking spray

Directions

1. In large saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugars. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugars dissolve. Do not boil. Mix in peanut butter. Remove form heat. Gently stir in cereal, peanuts and sunflower seeds.

2. Pat into 40 X 25 X 2 cm (15 X 10 X 3/4") baking pan coated with cooking spray. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Cool before cutting into bars.
