Spicy Sausage Burger

Spicy Sausage Burger
Made with hot Italian sausage, this burger is packed with so much flavour you might be tempted to chow down without adding any condiments at all.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml or 1 cup All-Bran Buds* cereal
  • 500 g or 1 lb hot Italian sausages
  • 225 g or 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 30 ml or 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 ml or 1/2 tsp each, salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste

Directions

1. Process cereal in blender until it resembles coarse crumbs.

2. In bowl, combine sausage meat, beef, cereal, onion, garlic, Parmesan, Worcestershire and salt and pepper.

3. Form into 8 patties and grill or pan fry until meat is no longer pink, about 8 minutes per side. Serve warm on toasted buns with sliced cheese and your favourite burger toppings.
