Sugar 'N Spice Balls

Ingredients

  • 3 cups or 750 ml Kellogg's Corn Flakes* cereal
  • 175 ml or 3/4 cup Kellogg's Corn Flake Crumbs*
  • 425 ml or 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 5 ml or 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 75 ml or 1/3 cup Icing sugar
  • 10 ml or 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 125 ml or 1/2 cup Finely chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 300 ml or 1 1/4 cups (approx) icing sugar
  • - or - Vegetable cooking spray
  • 250 ml or 1 cup Margarine or butter softened

Directions

1. Combine crushed cereal or crumbs, flour and cinnamon. Set aside.

2. In medium bowl, cream together margarine, 75 ml (1/3 cup) icing sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add cereal mixture and nuts; mix well. Shape into 2.5 cm (1") balls and place on baking sheet coated with cooking spray.

3. Bake at 180°C (350°F) 12-15 minutes or just until lightly browned. While still warm, roll in additional icing sugar. Cool in wire racks. Roll in icing sugar again.
