Tex-Mex Meat Lovers

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg slightly beaten
  • 150 ml or 2/32/3 ml Skim milk
  • 15 ml or 11 ml Chopped onion
  • 1 ml or 1/41/4 ml Salt
  • 1 ml or 1/41/4 ml Pepper
  • 500 ml or 22 ml Kellogg's Corn Flakes* cereal
  • 500 g or 11 g Lean ground beef
  • 150 ml or 2/32/3 ml Chili sauce
  • 30 ml or 22 ml Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 15 ml or 11 ml Vinegar
  • 5 ml or 11 ml Dry mustard
  • - Vegetable cooking spray

Directions

1. In large mixing bowl, combine egg, milk, onion, salt and pepper; beat well. Add cereal. Stir to combine. Let stand 2 minutes. Add ground beef. Mix just until combined. Shape into 6 small loaves. Place in shallow baking pan coated with cooking spray.

2. In small bowl, mix chili sauce, sugar, vinegar and mustard. Brush or spoon over loaves.

3. Bake at 180°C (350°F) about 30 minutes or until meat is browned and no longer pink inside.
