1. In large bowl, combine crushed cereal or crumbs, flours, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Add apple, raisins, syrup, egg and oil, stirring until combined. Spread in 2 L (9") square baking pan coated with cooking spray.
2. Bake at 180 ° C (350° F) 30 - 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Sift icing sugar over surface before cutting into bars.
