Apple Gingerbread Cobbler
With the taste of gingerbread, this cobbler is the perfect way to use an abundance of apples, especially during the holiday season.

Ingredients
- 125 ml or 1/2 cupAll-Bran Buds* cereal
- 1 L or 4 cupssliced, peeled apples
- 75 ml or 1/3 cuppacked brown sugar
- 15 ml or 1 tbspsoft margarine
- 45 ml or 3 tbspwater
- 150 ml or 2/3 cuphot water
- 50 ml or 1/4 cupmolasses
- 50 ml or 1/4 cupbutter
- 1egg
- 250 ml or 1 cupall-purpose flour
- 50 ml or 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
- 5 ml or 1 tspbaking soda
- 1 ml or 1/4 tspsalt
- 2 ml or 1/2 tspground cinnamon
- 2 ml or 1/2 tspground ginger
- 1 ml or 1/4 tspground cloves
Directions
- Spread apples in 20 cm (8-inch) square glass baking dish coated with non-stick spray. In small bowl, mix together brown sugar and butter; sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle water over apples. Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, mix together cereal, hot water, molasses and butter. Let stand for about 5 minutes or until cereal is softened. Whisk in egg.
- In medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and spices. Add to cereal mixture, stirring just until combined. Spoon batter over apples.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or cold.
