Strawberries and Cream Smoothie Bowl
This take on the classic combination of strawberries and cream is a healthy way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (750 mL) sliced strawberries, divided
  • 1 cup (250 mL) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) milk
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) honey
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped toasted hazelnuts
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Special K* Original cereal

Directions

1. In blender, combine 2 cups (500 mL) sliced strawberries, yogurt, banana, milk, honey and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

2. Divide smoothie among 4 bowls. Top with cereal, remaining strawberries and hazelnuts.

Tips: For a frozen smoothie bowl, make smoothies with frozen strawberries. Substitute almonds for hazelnuts if desired. Boost smoothie with some flax oil, chia seeds or hemp seeds.
