Ingredients
- 6 Cups
- 1 ½ cups
roughly chopped peanuts
- 1 cup
brown sugar
- 1 Cup
white corn syrup
- 1 cup
creamy peanut butter
- 1 tbsp
vanilla extract
- ½ tsp
salt (optional)
- 1 cup
milk chocolate chips
Directions
1. Add the brown sugar and white corn syrup to a saucepan over medium heat. Allow the mixture to come to a boil for 60 seconds and immediately remove from the heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt if using.
2. Add the Kellogg’s® Crispix® cereal and the peanuts to a large bowl and quickly pour the peanut butter mixture over top. Carefully toss the mixture with a spatula or a wooden spoon until fully coated.
3. Empty into a parchment lined 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan and carefully press the mixture into an even layer. Set aside to cool.
4. Add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat on HIGH for 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Pipe or drizzle the melted chocolate over the bars in the pan. Allow the chocolate to harden before cutting into bars.
