SERVINGS

Yield 9 bars

Ingredients

  • 1 L or 4 cups

    Kellogg’s Corn FlakesⓇ cereal

  • 1.25 L or1 ¼ cup

    creamy peanut butter

  • 160 ml or ½ cup

    Maple Syrup

Directions

1. Lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan, and line the bottom with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Add the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cereal to a large bowl and lightly crush with a wooden spoon. Set aside.

3. In a small microwave safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and maple syrup. Melt in the microwave for 30-45 seconds and stir until smooth.

4. Pour the peanut butter and maple syrup mixture over the crushed cereal in the bowl and stir to combine until all the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cereal is completely coated.

5. Empty the bowl into the prepared baking pan and flatten with a wooden spoon. Lay a sheet of parchment paper over top and using your hands or a flat tray, press down firmly to pack the squares into the pan.

6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up and cut into squares before removing from the pan.

Recipe Notes

Regular creamy peanut butter works the best.

Date syrup, agave syrup, or corn syrup can be used in place of Maple syrup, although much less tasty.

Cutting the squares before removing them from the pan helps keep them together.

In keeping with good allergy practices, we remind you to be aware of allergens and to check labels on any packaged goods used. This recipe has been tested using Kellogg's® cereal products. Results with other products may vary.
