Make easy Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Bars in just 40 minutes. Mix 4 cups of lightly crushed Kellogg's Corn Flakes® with 1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter and 1/2 cup maple syrup. Melt, mix, press into a pan, and chill for 30 minutes. You get 9 bars that hold together well and taste best with regular creamy peanut butter. Swap in agave or date syrup if you like. Ingredients
- 1 L or 4 cups
- 1.25 L or1 ¼ cup
creamy peanut butter
- 160 ml or ½ cup
Maple Syrup
Directions
1. Lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan, and line the bottom with parchment paper for easy removal.
2. Add the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cereal to a large bowl and lightly crush with a wooden spoon. Set aside.
3. In a small microwave safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and maple syrup. Melt in the microwave for 30-45 seconds and stir until smooth.
4. Pour the peanut butter and maple syrup mixture over the crushed cereal in the bowl and stir to combine until all the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cereal is completely coated.
5. Empty the bowl into the prepared baking pan and flatten with a wooden spoon. Lay a sheet of parchment paper over top and using your hands or a flat tray, press down firmly to pack the squares into the pan.
6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up and cut into squares before removing from the pan.
Recipe Notes
Regular creamy peanut butter works the best.
Date syrup, agave syrup, or corn syrup can be used in place of Maple syrup, although much less tasty.
Cutting the squares before removing them from the pan helps keep them together.
