Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® Casserole

  • 1 bag (900 g)

    diced hashbrowns

  • 2 cups

    sour cream

  • 1 can (284 ml)

    cream of chicken soup

  • ¾ cup

    melted butter, divided

  • 1 teaspoon

    salt

  • ½ tsp

    black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon

    dried onion flakes or ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp

    paprika

  • 2 ½ cups

    shredded cheese

  • 2 cups

    Kellogg’s Corn FlakesⓇ cereal

  • ½ cup

    fried onions (Optional)

  • -

    Sliced green onions, for garnish

Directions

1.    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2.    If starting with frozen hashbrown, lay them out on a baking sheet and cook in a 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes until thawed. Set aside.

3.    In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, half of the melted butter, salt, pepper, onion flakes, and paprika.

4.    Stir in the hashbrowns and shredded cheese until well combined. Then spread the mixture evenly in a large baking pan.

5.    To make the topping, add the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cereal to a large bowl and crush lightly. Add the remaining melted butter and fried onions if using. Stir to combine and use to create an even layer on top of the potato mixture in the pan. 

6.    Bake at 350°F for 45-55 minutes until the topping is golden brown and crispy. Allow the casserole to rest for 5-10 minutes and garnish with sliced green onion before serving.
